Following up on Audrey Spillman’s Reddit.com success for her YouTube video that gained 10,000 views in a matter of days; Audrey is having success again on Youtube. On October 7th she posted a Bon Iver cover of “Blood Bank” she shot with her iPhone. The video has been viewed 3,000+ times since the post, she has 19 comments and 69 likes. Those numbers may look average but here’s the kicker: Audrey translated that cover into 15 new Part Of Me EP purchases of her original music, literally over night.

What did this cost her? Nothing! She simply hit record on her phone, played, uploaded and made sure she provided a link back to her website where people could stream and purchase her new EP.
If you’re an artist wanting to make this your career, look at it like this: Audrey covered a song that’s 2:59 minutess long, she sold 15 EP’s at $7 a pop, earning $105. She earned $35 per min from doing what she loves and is gifted to do!
There are free tools out there to help promote your music and YouTube continues to be the #1 place people are going to to listen to music. Get creative and find out how it can work for you! It’s not as time consuming as a lot of people make it. Just be real with yourself and know what you like.
