Vinyl records meet the Twitter-verse with @VisibleVinyl
by Dave Sharp on Feb 20th, 2012
There’s something eternally fascinating about combining the old and the new. For generations, especially in music, its been a theme compounded by retro acts, cover bands and throwback concept albums. In the today’s world, where physical music is disappearing and hiding inside of our phones and iPods, there’s a single bit a residual awesomeness: vinyl.
Sinizine.net is bringing the old/new combo into 2012 with @VisibleVinyl. Sure, Spin can review all the new albums their hearts desire in 140 characters, but can they turn you on to decades of sweet music that’s best heard with a needle scratching wax? We can and we will.
@VisibleVinyl will routinely bring you quick-hit insights on rare, unique, cool-looking and otherwise awesome vinyl records. Twelve-inch, 10-inch, 7-inch, marble, clear, double single, 33rpm, 45rpm, singles, concepts, etc., all brought to you in a accessible and sharable package with a photo.
There are three ways to interact with @VisibleVinyl: 1) visit the blog at Sinizine.net, where every tweet will be archived and longer, more in-depth features will be published, 2) check in with the hashtag #VV (we’ll give Vodka Vendetta’s a run for their money) where all @VisibleVinyl tweets swim in the same pool with anybody else’s #VV tweets and 3) follow @VisibleVinyl on Twitter. Its so easy!
