Annie Williams featured this month at Live & Reel @ Reel Recording
by Dave Sharp on Dec 16th, 2011
Live & Reel @ Reel Recording – the monthly music video series featuring high-quality video mixed with professional sound recording of local artists including Evan P. Donohue, Natalie Prass, the little bear and Andrew Combs – presented Annie Williams today. Check it out at www.liveandreel.com and watch both below.
Annie showcases her songwriting and enchanting vocal melodies in the “one take, one shot, no gimmicks” atmosphere with the backing of The Medders (who you’ll also see around town playing with The Nobility and The Non-Coms). She recorded three songs, two of which are available at Live & Reel’s website, the third is a bonus track available to Live & Reel email subscribers. All three tunes are from her November EP, Midnight Window.
“Annie is a very creative artist with a range of styles and abilities. She was one of the first artists we thought of when we developed the series. It was excellent to record pared down versions of songs that are rocking out on her recent record.”
-Mark Galup, Producer/Engineer @ Reel Recording
“We’ve done a lot of work on a variety of different projects with both Annie and the talented Medders brothers over the past couple years and I’m very excited to have them become a part of our series.”
-Erik Thompson, Engineer @ Reel Recording
Live & Reel sessions provide fans with an intimate experience and perspective of their favorite artists as they’re given the chance to showcase their talent by adapting to fit the one-take, one-shot, stripped-down process of the Live & Reel model. 320 kbps MP3s of each session will be available for free download.
The project is a partnership between Reel Recording, an independent recording studio in Berry Hill, and Sinizine.net, a local online music magazine.
