Burning Bridge Recordings wants bands for local compilation and festival
by Dave Sharp on Dec 01st, 2011
Nashville’s Burning Bridge Recordings is looking for local artists to contribute to a project that includes a compilation album culminating in a festival.
They’re also looking for individuals or organizations to invest in the project.
The recording studio owned by Joeal Lauver is offering 1000 compilation albums to distribute and one-track studio time for $100 per band.
An excerpt from their original post with more details is below. Email burningbridgerecordings@gmail.com for more info or to be a part of the endeavor.

From the original Facebook post:
Nashville Bands: I want to release a compilation for all of you.
I would like to get as many bands involved as possible. This is a non-profit compilation. This is a great way to promote your band and be part of a fun movement!
BBR: THIS IS NASHVILLE – VOLUME 1 (I would like to do 1 a year)
Steps & Stipulations:
1. You hit the studio with me to record one song and donate $100 to the release. No previously released songs. Maybe covers are acceptible since we are not selling it but I’d like you to showcase something new and upcoming.
2. That $100 goes towards the production of 1000 copies of a badass CD. (or as many as we can get made with the money donated)
3. Every band involved receives an equal amount of cd’s distributed amongs us.
4. you give these cd’s to your friends / fans / family / record stores (you paid 100 bucks for CD promotion for your band, that’s cheap)
5. We throw a fest featuring all the bands on the compilation playing 3 songs a piece so we can get it done in 1 day. Exit/In or The End ( Jesse Baker) ?
6. You Bask in your awesomeness while your listeners are happy
7. Booyah Achieved.
If we can get other sponsors involved that would be great. I would love some help in achieving this goal.
