Mike Kavouras to play last show in Nashville on Friday Feb 17 at the Basement

Mike Kavouras, drummer for Evan P. Donohue, will be playing his last show as a Nashville resident on Friday February 17 at the Basement.

Long time collaborator and drummer with Evan P. Donohue, Mike Kavouras (that’s him above), is moving to New York City and will play his final show before the voyage on Friday February 17 at the Basement.  Evan, Mike and their band will be playing with Caitlin Rose and Buffalo Clover at 8pm with a $8 cover.

Here’s what Evan had to say about his pal’s departure:

“My friend, roommate, and sideman/drummer for the past five years is moving to NYC on Saturday. His fiancee, Meagan Proctor lives up there, (who sang on [Rhythm and Amplitude track]  “Sterilize the Kids,”) and he’ll be getting a job doing website development, as he is very gifted in this area (he made the Civil Wars’ website). I’m going to miss him very much and I want to make sure everyone who will miss him as much as I will won’t miss the show tomorrow night!’

Look, there’s Mike playing on their recent Live & Reel at Reel Recording session:
