Live & Reel @ Reel Recording – the monthly music video series that offers high-quality video mixed with professional sound recording – continues the momentum built from its inaugural September release with an October release featuring the little bear.
The Nashville-based Indie Pop/Folk band will release two exclusive tracks on Friday, October 14th at www.liveandreel.com, with a bonus track available to Live & Reel email members. Their debut EP, “Bridges”, dropped earlier this year and they expect their debut LP in January 2012 with Plastic 350 Records, an imprint of Infinity Cat Records.
“the little bear session was unique because they are the first group to ask us if they could decorate the studio for their video,” said Reel Recording recording engineer, Erik Thompson. “The different lighting and backdrop we used made for an interesting visual aesthetic and the band’s performances really do the songs great justice.”
“We were fortunate to have the band perform three unreleased songs. It’s exciting for Live & Reel to be the medium for the first release of these tunes,” said producer and engineer at Reel Recording, Mark Galup.
Live & Reel sessions provide fans with an intimate experience and perspective of their favorite artists as they’re given the chance to showcase their talent by adapting to fit the one-take, one-shot, stripped-down process of the Live & Reel model. 320 kbps MP3s of each session will be available for free download.
The project is a partnership between Reel Recording, an independent recording studio in Berry Hill, and Sinizine.net, a local online music magazine.
To gain exclusive content, first looks and a monthly hidden track, fans can enter their email at www.liveandreel.com. The September sessions featuring Evan P. Donohue and Natalie Prass can be viewed here.
Upcoming features include bonus releases of both local and national acts.
