Photo Gallery: Parachute Musical at 12th & Porter 12-11-10

Dec. 11, 2010 NASHVILLE, TENN – Piggybacking on a friend’s birthday party at 12^th and Porter, piano-driven rockers Parachute Musical played a free show consisting of their entire, yet-unreleased album.

“[It was an] opportunity to play new material live before it gets recorded,” said Josh Foster, lead vocalist and pianist.  “We’ve found that to be a great way to work out the kinks and see if what we think is awesome in the practice room translates.”

The band utilized social media to promote the free show to their established base of fan subscribers, creating a semi-fans-only environment (don’t forget about the birthday party crowd).

The show remained in line with the band’s expected energetic, performance-based presentations. The new songs drew a positive response from the crowd, despite being lyrically foreign.

The band will continue to record, master and press the new album due out in 2011.

“[People] should expect a new, more mature group of songs,” said Foster.  “[It will remain] emotive, still fun, but more rockin’.”
